A better day ahead
I know it's hard right now. We're living in a time of uncertainty and fear. But let's not forget who we are - we're advocates. Our district represents one of the most progressive and politically active communities in the country. Now is the time to fight for bold and innovative policies that put the health and well-being of Wisconsinites first. Let's go.

Meet Ali

Ali is a mental health advocate and thought leader on well-being in the digital age. Most recently, Ali served as a communications specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Office of Children's Mental Health. In this role, she supported state legislators, senior government officials, and the Office of the First Lady on a variety of public health initiatives.

Ali also worked as an adjunct faculty member at Madison College, where she taught a mass communications course and challenged students to critically analyze media's impact on society. In 2016, Ali worked with the nation’s first technology addiction center on a plan to educate parents about the importance of moderate screen time for children’s well-being. She later spoke about this topic to students and parents throughout Wisconsin and co-founded the Madison Tech and Society meetup group.

Earlier in her career, Ali worked in international education and supported the immigrant community in Washington, D.C. She was an international student advisor at Georgetown University, an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and a volunteer ESL teacher.

Ali is originally from Madison and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She received her masters degree from Georgetown University in public relations and corporate communications. Ali is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. She currently lives in the Atwood neighborhood.
